The Wolverines (4-5) scored first for the early 1-0 lead behind an unassisted tally from Josh Wassum just 29 seconds into action.
From that point forward, Frostburg scored 10-consecutive goals that covered all four quarters and the Bobcats closed out the half with an 8-1 cushion.
Senior Chase Cullison scored just 1:20 after Wassum's goal and the Bobcats (5-2) never looked back. Frostburg took the lead for good 40 seconds later when junior Quinn Western found junior Keegan Colegrove for a 2-1 lead.
The Bobcats, receiving votes in this week's USILA Top-20 poll, continued the pressure upfront as Jake Bowling scored off a pass from freshman Justin Carroll and senior John Gamber connected with Colegrove as FSU pushed its edge to 4-1.
Western handed out his second assist of the first quarter when he found sophomore Jake Howarth for a 5-1 lead at 4:25. Howarth then assisted goals from Carroll and Cullison to close out the first quarter.
Frostburg needed just one goal in the second and third quarters before two in the fourth for the win. Freshman Austin Norton found junior Nick Pontorno in the second (12:39) and freshman Jimmy Lucas hooked up with Cullison for the only goal of the third (3:07).
In the final stanza, it was Lucas' time for a goal as he scored off a pass from senior Brendan Krivak for a 10-1 lead. Wesley's Zach Farnell stopped the Bobcat surge with a goal at 4:44 for a 10-2 score.
Lucas found Cullison for the game's final score with just 57 seconds left for the 11-2 final.
Frostburg outshot the Wolverines 41-13 and the Bobcats limited the visitors to just 13-of-23 clear attempts. Senior Kyle Horak was nearly perfect on face offs as he won 13-of-14 attempts, while freshman Sam Natvig was 1-for-2.
Freshman keeper Jack Marks needed just four saves in 51:44 for the win in goal.
Frostburg returns to action on Wednesday at No. 6 York (Pa.) at 4:00 pm.
