FROSTBURG, Md. – Four starters scored in double figures and junior Edwin Cole pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds as Frostburg opened CAC action with a 76-72 win over Penn State Harrisburg, Wednesday.

The Bobcats pushed their record to 3-2 overall and 1-0 in the league with their first win over the Lions (4-2, 1-2) since the 2014-15 campaign.
Senior Dalton Gaus led FSU with a career-high 19 points, including an 8-of-8 effort at the foul line inside the 1:02 mark of the second half to seal the win.
Sophomore Daniel Alexander connected on two free throws with 1:22 to play as Frostburg built its lead to 64-56.
On the ensuing trip down the floor, Trent Thomas hit a three-pointer and Harrisburg resorted to fouling the rest of the way to try and keep the game close.
Thomas hit another three-pointer with 54 seconds left and he hit three free throws at 00:33 to pull the visitors within four, 70-66.
Alexander hit two more free throws before Thomas connected on a three-pointer again with 26 seconds left as the Lions pulled to within three at 72-69.
Sophomore Lawrence Pettis, Jr. hit two free throws at two different trips to the line and Gaus hit another two as Frostburg built its lead to 76-69. The Bobcats also forced a turnover from the Lions with 16 seconds left and they forced a contested three-pointer with nine seconds showing.
Ibn-Haneef Nelson hit a three as time expired to bring the final to 76-72.
Pettis, Jr. finished with 18 points and eight assists, while Michael scored 13 points and grabbed six rebounds. Alexander finished with 11, while Cole scored six points and blocked four shots, but led all players with 13 rebounds.
Frostburg trailed in the opening moments of the contest but rallied in impressive fashion to grab a 36-24 lead at intermission.
Harrisburg led 15-11 with 13:11 showing and the Bobcats answered minutes later with back-to-back three-pointers from Gaus and Michael for a 25-19 cushion.
A dunk by Gaus at 2:07 and a layup from Michael at 1:07 helped the hosts to their 12-point lead at the break.
Penn State Harrisburg came out in the second half with momentum and tied the ballgame just over six minutes into play at 41. A minute later, Gbolahan Alliyu hit a jumper to give the visitors their first lead since early in the game.
However, Gaus answered with a three-pointer and senior Jordan Johnson hit two free throws at 11:19 and Frostburg never trailed again.
Thomas finished with 20 points behind four three-pointers for the Lions. Kahlil Williams was second on the team with 15 points.
Frostburg visits No. 17 ranked Christopher Newport this Saturday at 4:00 pm.
