FROSTBURG, Md. – Frostburg State field hockey team scored two first half goals and limited McDaniel to six shots on the evening in a 2-1 victory Tuesday night at Bobcat Stadium.

With the win, Frostburg improves to 4-11 overall while 0-3 in CAC play.
Pickard, a Hampstead, Md. native, tallied her third and fourth goals of the season and notched her first multi-goal game of her career.
The Bobcats generated 18 shots with ten on goal. Junior Holly Van Wie led the team with seven shots.
Frostburg struck first at the 7:55 mark when Pickard took a pass from junior Cara Morrell and ripped a shot past McDaniel keeper Paige Ford for a 1-0 lead.
The tandem of Morrell and Pickard combined for the Bobcats second and final goal of the night off a penalty corner at 23:17 that doubled the Bobcats lead at 2-0. It was Pickard's second goal of the game and fourth of the season.
Frostburg outshot the Green Terror 7-3 and held a 2-0 edge at intermission.
In the second half McDaniel cut the lead to 2-1 at 66:32 as Emily Houska found a way past senior keeper Nicole Leighty.
Leighty finished the game with two saves at 34:52 and 47:27.
The Bobcats are back in action Thursday as they travel to Mary Washington at 4:00 p.m.
