FROSTBURG, Md. – Following the conclusion of the Capital Athletic Conference regular season on Saturday, the 13^th-ranked Frostburg State baseball team has earned the number one seed and home field advantage throughout the conference tournament beginning on Tuesday.
 
The Bobcats (23-8) will open tournament play when they host six-seed Penn State Harrisburg on Tuesday at 3:30 pm at Bob Wells Field.
 
Frostburg and PSH split the regular-season series, but FSU is 5-1 against the Lions (17-19) since they joined the CAC prior to the 2014 season.
 
FSU is currently ranked 13^th in the nation and has spent the last 20 weeks ranked in the D3baseball.com top-25 poll.
 
In the other opening round contests, second-seed Marymount will host fifth-seed Christopher Newport, while third-seed Salisbury hosts fourth-seed Wesley. Both games will be on Tuesday afternoon.
 
All six teams will then advance to play at Frostburg on Thursday for Championship Weekend.
