MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – A five point run in the last minute of the game pushed the Penn State Harrisburg Lions over the Frostburg State men's basketball team, to seal an 82-81 victory, Wednesday evening.
Senior James Peters led the Bobcat offense with 26 points and five rebounds, while classmate Shawn Henson contributed 23 points and five rebounds for FSU.
The Bobcats made a run in the fourth quarter, coming behind from a 58-49 deficit to take a 59-58 lead in the eleventh minute of the half. Henson made two layups, a jumper and a free throw to take the Bobcats within one.
A three-pointer by Peters gave FSU their first lead of the game at the 10:31 minute mark to go up 59-58 over the hosts. Back-and-forth points were exchanged before the Bobcats went up again, 61-60, after a layup from Henson.
The lead exchanged the rest of the second half, before two good free throws from both Peters and junior Shawn Bozier gave the Bobcats a 77-74 point lead with two minutes remaining in the game.
Bozier made another set of good free throws to surge the Bobcats 79-76 over the Lions with less than one minute remaining. However, a layup by the Lion's Anthony Morgan surged the hosts ahead 80-79 in the final seconds and they went on to win, 82-81.
Jazmon Harris led the Lions with 18 points and six rebounds, while Morgan made 17 and five rebounds.
The Bobcats will return to the court Saturday, December 5 when they play host to Salisbury at 3:00 pm.
