FROSTBURG, Md. – Christopher Newport rallied past Frostburg State for a 10-9 double overtime victory Saturday in CAC women's lacrosse action.

It was a tale of two halves as the Bobcats (1-9, 0-3) dominated the first half to the tune of a 5-2 lead at intermission. Junior Malory Brunett scored twice in the opening stanza and opened the second half with a goal just under five minutes into play as FSU opened up a 6-2 lead.
However, Christopher Newport climbed back into the game with six of the game's next seven goals to grab an 8-7 lead, its first of the ballgame.
Bobcat senior Megan White scored with 58 seconds left in regulation to knot the game at 8-8 and send it into extra time.
CNU's Meaghan Galvin scored a pair of goals in the first three minutes of overtime to hand the Captains a 10-8 advantage.
Bobcat freshman Emani Byrd scored with 32 seconds left in the second three minute OT period to bring the score to 10-9, but time ran out on the Bobcats.
Brunett finished with three goals, while freshman Megan Hart added two goals and one assist. Freshman Dylan Teitalbaum made 10 saves in goal.
Galvin led CNU with four goals, while Erin Callahan contributed three goals and one assist.
Frostburg State returns to action at Southern Virginia on Tuesday at 5:00 pm.
