CNU (21-3, 3-0 CAC) jumped out to an early 5-1 lead in the first set and held that lead to take a 1-0 lead over Frostburg (10-14, 0-3 CAC) in the match. Junior Aimee Petrides led the Bobcat attack in the first set with five of her nine kills in the match.
The Captains took a quick 3-0 lead in the second set before freshman Naya Cheatem sandwiched a pair of kills around a CNU point to pull the Bobcats to within one, 4-3. CNU held off a feisty Bobcat team at bay and used a 5-2 run over the last seven points of the match for a 25-21 win in the final set.
