FROSTBURG, Md. - Frostburg State women's swimming earned lopsided wins in the pool on Friday evening; the women's team took down Pitt-Bradford and Franciscan 125-61 and 105-80, respectively.
On Saturday afternoon the Bobcats celebrated senior day by capping their weekend with one final win over the Davis & Elkins Senators (113-75).

Friday evening, Frostburg earned five first-place finishes, junior Kaitlyn Donch posted two wins in the 500-yard freestyle (5:48.35) and the 100-yard breaststroke (1:17.13). To finish up, junior Jaclyn Franzak took the 100-yard butterfly in 1:06.05, followed by junior Elizabeth Jarrell and junior Meredith Johnson, who tied for the win in the 50-yard freestyle (28.20).
Over the course of 11 events, the Bobcats captured 19 top-three finishes, which included team sweeps with junior Sara King finishing right behind Donch in the 500-yard free to secure second place (6:17.09), and the 100-yard freestyle with Johnson (1:03.13) beating Jarrell to the wall. Donch also added second in the 1,000-yard freestyle in 11:52.57.
Saturday afternoon, the women kept up the momentum as they dove headfirst into five more wins against Davis & Elkins. With no seniors on the women's team, the juniors gave the audience a taste of what's to come next season.
Donch captured three of the five wins for the women's team. Starting her day in the 200-meter IM, she touched the wall with a five-second lead over the field, finishing in just 2:45.69. She kept this up as she entered the pool for the 400-meter free for her second win of the day, ending the event at 5:06.65. Donch finished the meet with an unwavering performance in the 100-meter breaststroke, completing her final event of the day in 1:23.18.
Additional wins included sophomore Maci Quintanilla in the 200-Meter Free (2:30.95), and the 100-meter backstroke (1.23.92).
The women will return to the water on January 15th against Bethany at 6:00 pm.
