FROSTBURG, Md. – Despite the duo of Katelyn Kesecker and Megan White netting three goals apiece, the Frostburg State women’s lacrosse team fell to Capital Athletic Conference foe, Marymount 15-11, on the Bobcats’ senior night, Saturday.

With the loss, the Bobcats fall to an overall record of 5-5 and 1-2 in the CAC. Marymount improves to an overall record of 6-4 and 2-2 in the CAC.
Along with her three goals, White added five ground balls and four caused turnovers. Sophomore Jessica Jones also caused four turnovers and donated an assist.
The Bobcats and the Saints had no problems finding the net early in the game in the struggle to gain an advantage. The score remained knotted, 3-3, for the first 10 minutes of the half.
Marymount responded with five unanswered goals, three coming from Megan McGuirk.
The Bobcats halted the Saint offense and Kesecker netted one past the keeper to mark the score at 8-4.
Frostburg put together a four-goal run to close out the half, as the scoreboard read 10-7 at intermission.
The Saints continued to control the offensive end in the second half while the Bobcats didn’t have enough time to close the gap to put the final score at 15-11.
Marymount was led by McGuirk and Taylor Johnson with four goals each.
Despite stopping 13 shots, Bobcat senior keeper Naomi Swann suffered a loss.
Women’s lacrosse continues CAC action as they travel to York (Pa.) on Tuesday, April 9 for a 4:00 pm contest.
