SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.V. – Shepherd University used an 11-goal run in the second half to overpower Frostburg State, 26-5, in non-conference women’s lacrosse action, Thursday afternoon.

The Rams (9-6) limited the Bobcats (5-9) to just four goals in the first half and one goal in the second half while the hosts raced out to a 14-4 halftime lead.
Shepherd opened up a 2-0 lead before senior Allie Welsh scored off a pass from sophomore Emily Walker less than five minutes into action.
The Rams closed out the opening quarter with 12 more goals for a 10-goal lead at intermission.
SU continued its offensive output into the second half with 12 more goals to post the final score at 25-6.
Junior Megan White continued her offensive prowess by pacing the Bobcats with three goals which marks her 10th game scoring multiple goals this season. Walker also registered one goal, one assist, one ground ball and three draw controls. Senior goalie Naomi Swann notched nine saves.
SU was led by Hunter Morris who posted six goals and two assists while Nicole Ruane scored five goals and dished one assist.
FSU returns to action on April 20 for its last regular season game against conference foe Salisbury for a 3:00 pm contest at Bobcat Stadium.
