SALISBURY, Md. - Sophomore Malory Brunett scored three goals, but the Frostburg State women's lacrosse team fell to No. 2 ranked Salisbury, 19-3, Saturday. The Bobcats fall to 4-7 overall and 2-3 in the CAC while the Sea Gulls remain undefeated at 10-0 overall and 3-0 in the conference.

The contest marked the fourth time this season that the Bobcats have faced a team ranked in the IWLCA Top-20 and second opponent inside the top five. FSU lost to No. 4 ranked TCNJ, 19-5, on March 10.
Bobcat sophomore Malory Brunett scored three times in the opening half to pace the Bobcats as they hung tough in the early going. Salisbury scored less than two minutes into action, but Brunett's first score evened the contest at 1-1 with 22:23 remaining.
The host Sea Gulls then rattled off four-straight for a 5-1 lead at 16:57 before Brunett scored again. Her second goal of the opening half came at 15:06 and cut the deficit to 5-2.
Over the next 10:30, Salisbury pushed it lead to 13-2 with eight-straight goals. Brunett's third score (2:36) capped the first half as SU led 13-3 at the break. The Sea Gulls added six goals in the second half for the 19-3 final.
Brunett pushed her team leading goal total to 28 with the three first-half goals. She has a total of 12 goals in the last three games. Junior Naomi Swann made six saves in goal in the first half.
Salisbury held a decisive 37-7 lead in shots and was a perfect 13-of-13 on clear attempts. SU also took advantage of 20 FSU turnovers.
Lauren Feusahrens scored four times to lead 11 different players that registered at least one point. Katie Bollhorst added one goal and four assists.
Frostburg returns to the field at Susquehanna on Tuesday at 4:00 pm.
