FSU batted around in the first inning of game one and it proved to be all the runs it needed.  With the bases loaded John Barrett knocked in Torian Cyrus, who singled to lead off the inning.  Pat Sapp scored on a wild pitch and Adam Summerfelt drove in Doug Anuszewski to make the score 3-0.  J.K. Filauro smacked a two-run double in the inning and later scored on a wild pitch.

With two outs in the third and Adam Baxley on first, Cyrus hit a two-run homer to left field to give the Bobcats a commanding 8-0 lead.

Senior Zach O’Dell struck out nine and scattered three hits in six innings pitched and allowed just one earned run to improve to 3-1.

Down 3-1 in the fifth in the second game of the twin bill, the Bobcats rallied for four runs to take a lead they did not relinquish.  Baxley led off the inning with a double and Cyrus followed with his second homerun of the day to tie the game.  Sapp then reached on an error and stole second.  With two outs, Mike Virbickis hit a double to score Sapp to take the lead and Barrett scored on a wild pitch in the next at-bat to provide Frostburg with some insurance.

Pitt-Greensburg scored a run in the sixth, but went down in order in the seventh to end the game.

Pitt-Greensburg struck early in game two with two runs in the first off Frostburg starter Doug Politz.  The Bobcats answered with a run in the bottom half of the inning when Sapp, who was hit by a pitch, scored while Anuzewski was caught in a rundown between first and second.

Pitt-Greensburg added a run in the second on a sac fly by Brian Colish to extend their lead.

A.J. Rosenthal entered the game in the fourth with one out and runners at the corners and got a key groundball double play to end the Pitt-Greensburg threat.  Rosenthal threw 3 2/3 innings and gave up one hit to earn his first victory.

Cyrus was 3-for-5 with two homers and four RBIs to lead the Frostburg lineup.  Summerfelt hit .500 on the day going 3-for-6 and an RBI.

Frostburg (8-6) returns to the diamond on Sunday when they take on Galludet at Bob Wells Field at 1:00 p.m.
