TOWSON, Md. – The Frostburg State baseball team dropped a non-conference contest to No. 23 Salisbury, 6-2, Wednesday afternoon at Towson University.

The Bobcats (27-10) could not seem to get their bats going against the Sea Gulls (26-9) pitcher who had a no-hitter going until the bottom of the fifth inning.
Senior
Joe Garrity (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory) stroked the first hit of the afternoon for FSU with a double to deep right center. Junior
Corey Carr (McHenry, Md./Northern Garrett (Garrett)) drew a walk to put two runners on for sophomore
Adam Summerfelt (Gambrills, Md./Archbishop Spalding). Summerfelt doubled to center field to bring home Garrity and Carr and put the Bobcats only runs on the board.
The Sea Gulls put the first runs of the game on the board in the top of the first and added another run in the top of the fifth to lead 3-0. After the Bobcats cut the lead to 3-2 in the bottom of the fifth, SU came back with two runs in the top of the sixth and one run in the seventh to take the game 6-2.
Junior
Rich Schuler (Wilmington, Del. / Caravel Academy (Cecil)) suffered the loss for the Bobcats pitching 4.0 innings, giving up two runs on four hits and three walks with one strike out.
The Bobcats return to the action on Saturday, May 1 when they take on AMCC rival, Penn State Behrend at Bob Wells Field at 1:00 pm.
