FROSTBURG, Md. - The Frostburg State University football team surrendered four rushing touchdowns in a 37-6 loss to in-state rival Salisbury in the 12th Annual Regents' Cup, Saturday.

Brandon Norwood ran for three scores to lead an SU (7-2, 2-1) ground game that racked up 410 yards. For his efforts, he was awarded Mike McGlinchey Most Outstanding Player honors. Salisbury scored four times in the first half and led 23-0 at halftime. Norwood scored the game's second touchdown on a 14-yard run with 6:13 left in the second quarter as SU led 16-0. The Sea Gull defense scored the final touchdown of the half when Andre Carter intercepted a pass and returned it 90 yards for a score.
FSU senior tailback
Anthony King (Germantown, Md./Northwest) scored the lone touchdown for the hosts. The Bobcats covered 36 yards in seven plays that capitalized on a SU fumble and King found the end zone from a yard out as the Bobcats trailed 23-6 with 4:59 to go in the third quarter.
However, Norwood scored twice in the final quarter on scoring runs of 32 and 35 yards.
Frostburg State totaled just 138 yards in offense while junior quaterback
Josh Volpe (Germantown, Md./Northwest) threw for 99 of those yards on 15 completions. King finished with 24 yards on 15 carries. Defensively, senior
Terryl Monroe (Temple Hills, Md./Dematha) made 11 tackles and garnered Mike McGlinchey Most Outstanding Player honors. Freshman
Michael Fourth (Brandywine, Md./Chowan College) led FSU with four receptions for 33 yards.
FSU ends its regular season with a 2-8 overall record and a 1-2 ACFC slate.
