Brooke Tapman (Pocomoke, Md./Pocomoke) netted the game winning goal for the Frostburg State field hockey team at 3:37 in the second overtime period in the 3-2 win over the DeSales Bulldogs Saturday.

Breanne Russell (Clements, Md./Pocomoke) to extend the Bobcat lead to 2-0.
With less than 10 minutes to go in the first half, DeSales (0-1) posted its first goal of the game off a shot by Crissy Meehan assisted by Jamie Matthews. However the Bobcats would take the 2-1 lead into halftime.

Maggie Edwards (Lebanon, N.J./Hunterdon Central Regional) recorded five of her eight saves of game in the second half. With less than a minute to go in the half, DeSales tied the game at 2-2 off a goal by Carla Nunez.
The first overtime period was dominated by the defense of both teams which allowed three shots for Frostburg and two for DeSales.
Just 3:37 into the second overtime period, Tapman found the net off an assist from sophomore
Chelsea Smith (Mt. Airy, Md./South Carroll) to take the lead 3-2 and win the game for the Bobcats.
Frostburg State returns to the field on Sunday, September 6 at 1:00 pm when it travels to Ewing, N.J. to take on The College of New Jersey.
