BUCHANNON, W.Va. - West Virginia Wesleyan won 17 events in route to defeating Frostburg State men's and women's swimming, Saturday afternoon. WVWC defeated the women 119-65, while the men fell 109-74.

FSU took two individual first-place victories on the afternoon as freshman Arielle Harding (Damscus, Md./Good Counsel) and sophomore Josh Green (New Market, Md./Linganore) each won the 100 yard breaststroke. Harding won the event with an overall time of 1:15.40, while Green registered a final time of 1:12.59.

Frostburg State also swept the 200 yard freestyle relay as the women (Flood, Seay, Burch, Groetzinger) closed the afternoon with a time of 2:01.64 and the men (Samakow, Stinchcomb, Karlheim, Giambruno) won with a time of 1:43.08.

Senior Jack Hudson (Gaithersburg, Md. / Gaithersburg) had a strong showing as he finished second in the 100 yard butterfly (1:04.50) and placed third in 200 yard freestyle (1:58.30).

The Bobcats return to the pool on Saturday, January 24 as they host York (Pa.) for a 1:00 pm dual-meet.
