Hillary Jones is entering her second year as a member of the Frostburg State athletic training staff in 2020-2021.
Prior to working with the Bobcats, Jones spent the past five years at Fairmont State University, where she started as an intern with the athletic training department and then became a graduate assistant. Halfway through her graduate assistantship, Jones was named as an Assistant Athletic Trainer. While with Fairmont State, she provided medical coverage for 16 sports, including the Acrobatics and Tumbling team.

Jones has also served as an Assistant Athletic Trainer with Coach Wootten’s Basketball Camp after starting with the camp as a First Responder in 2013.

Jones is a member of the West Virginia Athletic Trainer’s Association Young Professional’s Committee, the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and the Mid-Atlantic Athletic Trainers’ Association. She is also currently certified with the Maryland Board of Physicians, the National Academy of Sports Medicine, Sport Safety International and the West Virginia Board of Physical Therapy, among others.

A Core, West Virginia-native, Jones earned a bachelor’s degree in athletic training from West Virginia University in 2015 and a master of education degree with a concentration of exercise science, fitness and wellness from Fairmont State in 2018. Â
