Eric Seifarth

Eric Seifarth was named Frostburg State University's Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance in the fall of 2018.
 
Seifarth served in the compliance office at South Carolina State University from 2011 to the time he accepted the position with FSU. He started with SCSU as the Assistant Director for Compliance, working his way up to Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance in 2014. He was then promoted in 2017 to become the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Compliance and Student Services.
 
During his tenure with SCSU Seifarth was in charge of interpreting NCAA and Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference rules, conducting Rules Education sessions with the athletic teams, approving and monitoring all recruiting activities, overseeing the National Letter of Intent program and reviewing and monitoring playing and practice seasons. He also monitored the NCAA eligibility requirements for all 14 sports programs and over 260 student-athletes in the department. He was responsible for submitting Academic Performance Rate (APR) and Graduation Success Rate (GSR) data and implementing new NCAA Certification and Progress Toward Degree (PTD) internal practices.
 
Seifarth started his career in compliance when he was hired as an intern in the Arkansas State University compliance department for the 2007-2008 school year, which he followed with a compliance internship with the University of South Carolina for the 2008-2009 school year.
 
Seifarth earned a bachelor's degree in advertising and communication from Waynesburg University and a Master of Science degree in Sports Administration from Valparaiso University.
