Collin Hummel

Assistant Coach Collin Hummel is entering his 2nd season with the Bobcats for the 2024-25 campaign.

A native of Lewisburg, PA, Hummel came to Frostburg in 2023 by way of Millersville University, where he served as a Graduate Assistant Coach for Women’s Swimming. At Millersville, he was part of a staff that oversaw a historic year for the Marauders. Upon arriving at Frostburg, Hummel worked primarily with the sprint group and oversaw the daily training of a group that rewrote 7 sprint records in 2024. He was part of a coaching staff that guided both the men and women to their second and third Mountain East Conference titles respectively, in 2024.

As a student athlete at Bloomsburg University from 2017-2022, Hummel appeared in 3 Division II NCAA Championship Meets, earning All-American status in 2018 and 2020 and became the first and only male swimmer in school history to earn Scholar All-American status all 4 years of his career. As a Husky, he notched 8 NCAA B cuts and appears on the top 10 list 18 times. Additionally, he posted marks in the 50 Freestyle in 2019, 2020, and 2022 that qualified for the US Open, and narrowly missed Olympic Trials qualification in the event in 2021.

Hummel graduated from Bloomsburg in 2022 with a degree in Marketing. Currently, he is pursuing a master’s degree in Sports Management at FSU.
