Tom Kraemer is in his second year with the Frostburg men’s lacrosse staff in 2017-18 after a standout playing career in goal for the Bobcats.
Last spring, Frostburg finished 9-7 overall that included an 11-8 upset of No. 9 Cabrini early in the season. The Bobcats ranked third in the CAC in clearing percentage (84.1), man-down defense (68.8) and scoring defense (8.06), while making their fifth-straight trip to the CAC Tournament.
As a player, Kraemer garnered All-American and Scholar All-American honors as a senior after helping the Bobcats to 15 wins and a national ranking of 15th in the USILA Top-20 poll after they opened the season with 11-consecutive wins.
In two years as a starter, Kraemer garnered two All-CAC certificates, helped the Bobcats to 31 wins that included a CAC Tournament runner-up finish in 2015. In both seasons, Kraemer finished the season ranked inside the top 15 in all of Division III in goals against average.
A native of Salisbury, Md., Kraemer helped Frostburg to 58 wins during his four years with four CAC Tournament appearances. He earned a total of 31 wins in net with four of his six losses coming against nationally-ranked teams.
In the classroom, Kraemer was a three-time CAC All-Academic honoree, a six-time Dean’s List student and he earned his bachelor’s degree in information technology in May 2016.
