Frostburg State University head men’s basketball coach Webb Hatch has announced the hiring of Zach Olson as the new graduate assistant coach starting in the fall of 2009.
Olson is a 2009 graduate of Muskingum College where he earned a bachelor’s degree in health and physical education and was a member of Kappa Delta Pi Educational Honor Society.
Olson was a four-year player and three-year letter winner for the MC basketball program. He appeared in 65 games and helped the Fighting Muskies to 58 wins over his four years, including four trips to the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament. For his career efforts, Olson earned the Gregg Riggar Dedication to Sport Award.
Olson has coached at several camps over the past couple of years, including Eastern Ohio Basketball Camp, Nike Basketball Skills Camp, Muskingum College and New Philadelphia High School Basketball Camps.
