Sahil Lakhani enters his first season as a graduate assistant coach with the Frostburg State Univerity men’s basketball team in 2018-19.
Lakhani graduated from Bradley University in 2016 with a degree in business management and leadership and a minor in entrepreneurship. He served as a team manager for the Braves women’s basketball team and head coach Michael Brooks. While at Bradley, he supported the coaching staff and helped execute practices.
Lakhani served as the head coach in the Niles West Feeder Basketball league in Illinois in the winter of 2017-18, leading his junior high squad to 10 wins and the best record in the feeder program.
He continued coaching at the junior high level for Spartan Sports AAU in spring of 2018 and served as the head coach of two squads, and took home the Rockford Tournament title with his fifth-grade team.
Over the summer, Lakhani instructed Synergy Basketball’s 10th-grade team to a 7-3 record and Romeoville Tournament crown.
Lakhani provided individualized training for the development of basketball, football, and baseball athletes as a sport consultant, and participated as a coach for various Midwest Ismaili clinics for basketball and soccer.
