Will Brunson

Will Brunson enters his first season as an assistant coach for the Frostburg State football team after playing quarterback for the Bobcats for the 2019 season.
 
Brunson, who will work with the offensive line, helped FSU to an 8-3 overall record in its first season at the NCAA Division II level. In 11 starts last fall, Brunson threw for 2,067 yards with 18 touchdowns while completing nearly 55 percent of his passes. He also added three rushing touchdowns.
 
In a week four OT win over Fairmont State, Brunson threw for a season-high in both yards (259) and touchdowns (4). He eclipsed 200 yards passing in five of 11 games last fall.
 
Prior to FSU, Brunson played quarterback at the University of Albany (NCAA Division I) where he threw for 2,334 yards with 10 touchdowns in three seasons.
 
He was voted as team captain at both Frostburg and Albany.
 
Last spring, Brunson hosted a QB school, teaching quarterbacks at all levels from seventh grade through sophomores in college. He provided in-depth film study, third-level thinking and next level QB play.
 
Brunson graduated from Albany with his bachelor’s degree in communications in 2018 and he graduated from Frostburg with his master’s degree in parks and recreation in December 2019.
