Riley Hartman begins his first year as a graduate assistant coach for the Frostburg State football team after a four-year All-American playing career for the Bobcats. He will work with the offensive line in 2019.
A four-year starter on the offensive line, Hartman joins the staff after a senior campaign in 2018 that saw him garner AFCA First Team All-American honors and a D3football.com Second Team All-American award. He helped the Bobcats to the second round of the NCAA Playoffs with a 10-1 overall record, including a perfect 9-0 regular season.
Hartman started all 11 games at right tackle in ’18 and didn’t allow a sack all season. He also dominated in the classroom as he became a National Football Foundation (NFF) Hampshire Honor Society member in the spring of ’19.
As a junior, he started all 13 games and helped Frostburg to a school record 11 wins and a program best 468 points. Frostburg advanced to the NCAA Playoff quarterfinals and finished the season ranked inside the top 20.
Throughout his time in a Bobcat uniform, Hartman played all 44 games for the Bobcats, while starting the last 24 contests. During his four years, Frostburg won 37 games and made three-straight postseason appearances.
He graduated this past spring with his bachelors degree in business administration and is pursuing his MBA.
