Ken Emmons rejoins Frostburg’s Football staff after spending 5 seasons (2019-2023) at Stevenson University, where he was the Wide Receivers Coach and Special Teams Coordinator. Emmons spent three seasons (2016-2018) on staff at his alma mater, Frostburg State, working with wide receivers in each of his final two seasons after coaching the linebackers in 2016, while also assisting with special teams.
The Bobcats compiled a 31-4 record during Emmons' three years on the sideline, including an NCAA quarterfinal appearance in 2017 and an NJAC conference championship before returning to the Tournament in 2018. During the season, FSU's offense averaged 40.7 points per game, good for first in the conference and No. 20 nationally.
Prior to coaching, Emmons was a three-year starter for the Bobcats and a four-year member of the team from 2011-2014. He finished his career with 4,045 passing yards and 24 touchdowns, both good enough for eighth all-time in program history. On the ground, he added nearly 1,000 rushing yards with another 13 touchdowns.
Emmons earned his bachelor's degree from Frostburg in 2016 and went on to earn his Master's in Interdisciplinary Education in 2019.
