Russo Nets MEC Softball Player of the Week Honors

BRIDGEPORT, W. Va. - Sophomore Bri Russo was named the MEC Softball Player of the Week, presented by The Health Plan, as announced by the league office on Monday.

Russo batted .667 in the week, producing four multi-hit games as FSU went 4-0. She hit 2-for-3 in all four games, scoring 7 runs and producing 6 total RBI. In addition, she had a season-high 3 RBI in a 14-5 win over Shepherd and added a career-best 3 runs scored with a pair of RBI in a 15-0 victory against Bowie State.
