BRIDGEPORT, W. Va. - Senior outfielder Arden Miller was named the MEC Softball Player of the Week, presented by The Health Plan, as announced by the league office Monday.
Miller helped the Bobcats to a 5-1 record over the weekend, hitting .421 with 8 hits, 3 extra base hits, 7 RBIs, and 7 runs scored. She went 4-for-4 against Elizabeth City State with a double and a home run, producing 6 RBIs and 3 runs scored in the 9-0 victory. In FSU's 6-5 comeback win over Mansfield, she led off the bottom of the 7th with a single and eventually came in to score the walk-off run, having trailed 5-0 after three innings. She also added a pair of walks and a stolen base to her totals.
