BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – The Mountain East Conference released their 2025 Men's Soccer Preseason Poll on Tuesday afternoon with Frostburg State sliding into the eighth spot.

Frostburg is coming off a remarkable season in 2024, posting a 10-8-1 overall record and a 7-6-1 showing in conference competition for a fourth place finish in the MEC, having their best start since to a season since 2015. The Bobcats hosted their first-ever playoff game last year since joining Division II in 2019, defeating West Liberty to move on to the semifinals.Â

The defending MEC champions of Charleston sit at the top of the poll with 49 total points and seven of the first-place votes, while Davis & Elkins takes the second spot with 43 points and one first-place vote. FSU shows 12 points in the poll, coming in behind Wheeling who serves 15.Â

The Bobcats kick off their season at home with a MEC contest against Concord on Sunday, September 7 at 2 PM.Â
