Four Earn Victories for Men's Swimming in Road Loss to Mary Washington

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Frostburg State Men's Swimming team fell 175-87 on the road to Mary Washington on Saturday.
 
Freshman Bliss Hays picked up FSU's first individual win on the day, placing first in the 1000-yard free (10:22.66), just ahead of junior Jack Bond (10:38.24) in second. In the 100 back, freshman Sean Filipovits picked up another victory in 53.17, while junior Tory Reynolds (52.80) and sophomore Bradin Norris (4:22.20) would secure the final Bobcat first places in the 100 fly and 400 IM, respectively.
 
Norris also had a pair of runner-up finishes in the 200 back (2:03.45) and the 200 fly (1:59.79), while Reynolds placed second in the 50 free (21.78). Closing out the meet, Filipovits, Reynolds, senior Josh Horner, and junior Dylan King took second in the 200 free relay at 1:28.64.
 
With the loss, Frostburg drops to 2-3 on the year, while UMW improves to 3-1. The Bobcats next have a couple weeks' break before traveling to the Wooster Invitational from December 4-6. Information and updates will be posted to frostburgsports.com.
