BRIDGEPORT, W. Va. - For the first time in her career, sophomore goalkeeper Kayla Doty earned MEC Defensive Player of the Week honors, presented by The Health Plan, as announced by the league office.
Doty had a career day in helping FSU to a 1-1 draw with West Virginia State, producing 11 total saves with just the one goal allowed. She followed that up by making a pair of saves in a clean sheet 2-0 victory over West Virginia Wesleyan.
