WHEELING, W.Va. – The Frostburg State Women's Basketball Team took down the Wheeling Cardinals on the road Saturday afternoon by a score of 77-64 to split the season series.

Wheeling got off to a 5-0 start, as three minutes in Frostburg got their first points from freshman Jenna Muha who went two-for-two from the line for a 5-2 score. Nearly a minute later FSU fouled, sending WHL to the line for a 7-2 game. Back on the offensive end, sophomore Emilee Weakley earned herself a three-point play to bring the game to 7-5. The Bobcats were able to create a turnover, resulting in freshman Alanna Tate having a bucket to tie the game at 7-7. Another turnover by the Cardinals sent Muha to the line to take the lead 8-7. After adding some pressure, Tate got her hand in between a pass for a steal and an open layup to increase the score to 24-20. Both teams missed their next few plays down the court, as Muha grabbed a defensive board and found Tate on the run for a routine jumper and a 26-20 game. With less than two to play in the half, Muha earned a bucket, answered back by a jumper from Wheeling to go up 28-22. To go up eight, Tate sunk two free throws for a 30-22 score.
