FROSTBURG, Md. – The Frostburg State Men's Wrestling team picked up another win on their home mat with a 26-16 victory over Marymount on Wednesday evening. 
 
Prior to the match, both teams set up six exhibitions, with freshman Nate Wilhelm getting the 17-3 major decision in the 133 lb weight class.  Sophomore Mark Matysek won his match in 174 with a tech fall of 19-1, while sophomore Charles Turney also competed in 174 with a pinfall for his victory.  Freshman Andrew Wolfanger received an 18-2 tech fall win in 184, while sophomore Shawn Traynham finished off the exhibitions with a sudden victory in 197.  Sophomore Griffin Thurfield competed in the 157 lb weight class, falling in his match by pinfall.
 
Marymount took the first match of the night to start the contest, with Frostburg freshman Amir Wray-Hill falling closely with a 9-6 decision in the 125 lb weight class.  Redshirt freshman Garhett Dickenson picked up the first win of the night for FSU with a 16-9 decision in the 133 lb weight class, while freshman Chase Bell followed behind in 141 with a major decision victory of 14-3 to put the Bobcats ahead overall 7-3.
 
Graduate Alex Blake earned a win in 149 off a close 12-8 decision, while sophomore Mason Buckler fell in 157 to a tech fall.  Redshirt sophomore Noah Reho (165) and graduate Owen Butler (174) racked up wins in their respective weight classes, with the former securing a pinfall and the latter coming out on top of a 17-2 tech fall. 
 
Freshmen Austin Lewis and Alex Hoy fell in the 184 and 197 lb weight classes, as sophomore Gavin Bage finished off the night with a pinfall in 2:01 in the 285 lb weight class. 
 
With the win, Frostburg moves to 4-1 on the season, while Marymount falls to 0-4.  The Bobcats next compete on Friday, January 10 in the Virginia Duals held in Hampton, VA that are set to start at 3 PM.  For more information and updates, please visit frostburgsports.com.
