FROSTBURG, Md. – The Frostburg State Men's Swimming team won at home on Homecoming Weekend over Davis & Elkins, taking down the Senators by a score of 136.5 – 59.5 on Saturday.
Frostburg had eight first place finishes on the day, winning the 50, 100, 200, 400, and 800-meter free, and the 200-meter free relay, with freshman Bradin Norris, sophomores Abe Bias and Dylan King, and senior Nate Canapp knotting wins in the individual events. In the 200-meter free, Bias (2:02.79) took first, with sophomore Jack Bond (2:10.61) and junior Josh Horner (2:13.21) finishing second and third. FSU also took the top three spots in the 400-meter free, with Canapp (4:22.79) winning the event, and Norris (4:43.22) and Whitton (4:45.14) following behind in the second and third spots.
Norris and Canapp went on to place first and second in the 200-meter back, with the former swimming a 2:13.59 and the latter showing a 2:25.53. Norris won the 800-meter free by over a minute, seeing a 9:10.97 time in the event, while the team of Bias, junior Andrew Wetherhold, freshman Josh Stokes, and sophomore Tory Reynolds finished with a 1:39.85 time in the 200-free relay to win the event.
Also knotting second place finishes on the day were freshman Nate Schwarz in the 800-meter free with a 10:22.30 time, senior Jaden Tipton in the 100-meter free with a 55.53 finish, and senior Luka Smith in the 200-meter breast with a 2:40.26 swim.
