FROSTBURG, Md. – The Frostburg State Women's Lacrosse team took a dominant 25-1 home victory over Alderson Broaddus on Saturday afternoon.

FSU wasted no time getting on the board, with junior Anna Kearney scoring a free position within the first 10 seconds. Just a minute later, junior Camden DeMaio made it 2-0, then proceeded to score the next pair of goals by the 12:37 mark. Sophomore Julia Badolato got herself on the board before the Bobcats scored five in a minute and a half span, with two goals from both senior Jordan Kenney and freshman Neila Haney, along with another from Kearney making it a running clock at 10-0. Kearney and Badolato both scored at the end of the quarter for a 12-0 lead.

Senior Lilly Stephens opened the second period with the first goal, followed by Badolato converting a free position. Kearney scored her fourth of the game with 9:40 on the clock, which was her 100
th career Bobcat goal. Senior Maura O'Neill and Stephens both finished off free positions either side of a score from sophomore Brittyn Leonard. The Battlers finally got on the board inside the final two minutes of the half, but Stephens got the final goal with 44 seconds left for a 19-1 FSU lead at the half.

DeMaio and sophomore Natalie Crawford both scored to start the second half, followed by back-to-back goals by freshman Sydney Stone. Leonard and freshman Jayden Beard capped the goal fest with tallies in the fourth to bring the final score to 25-1.

The Bobcats saw eight players record multiple goals, with Kearney leading the way on four scores and three assists. O'Neill helped lead the defensive effort with four caused turnovers and three groundballs.

With the win, Frostburg improves to 7-6 on the year, while Alderson Broaddus falls to 0-8. FSU returns to action on Wednesday, April 19 to face West Virginia Wesleyan at home with a start time of 6 p.m. Information and updates will be posted to frostburgsports.com.
