BRIDGEPORT, W. Va. - Redshirt junior center Jason Murphy earned a spot on the All-MEC Second Team in his first year as a Bobcat, as announced by the league office.
Murphy was one of two FSU players to play in all 28 games this year, starting in 27 of them. He finished second on the team averaging 15.9 points per game while leading the team in rebounding at 8.8 per game, which was also second in the entire MEC. He announced himself as a defensive force, leading the conference in blocks (44) and blocks per game (1.6), which is also the ninth-most in a single season in school history.
