EDINBORO, Pa. – The Frostburg State Men's Tennis team lost its road match to Edinboro on Friday evening 7-0.

Freshmen German Diaz and Cole Alcala battled one of the top doubles pairings in the region, narrowly losing 7-6 (8-6 tiebreak), as the Scots earned the doubles point in a sweep of all three matches.

Both also led FSU in the singles matches, with Diaz going the full three sets in a heartbreaking 7-5, 4-6, 6-4 loss at No. 1 singles. Alcala dropped his first set 6-2 before giving his best effort in a close 7-5 set two defeat.

With the loss, the Bobcat men fall to 1-5 on the year, while Edinboro improves to 4-1. Frostburg returns to action Friday, March 3 for a road match against West Virginia State in the team's MEC opener. Information and updates will be posted to frostburgsports.com.
