ARLINGTON, Va. – The Frostburg State women's wrestling team defeated Marymount on the road, picking up the first-ever win in program history 25-15.
Â
The Saints took an early lead with a win by a fall in the 116-weight class, but after a forfeit, freshman Lillie Costilla put the Bobcats out in front of the Saints, securing a pinfall less than a minute into her 130 lbs. match. The teams exchanged forfeited matches to take things to the finial round, where freshman Rylee Rodrigues secured the meet victory with another fall for the Bobcats in her first competitive match of the season.
Â
With the win, Frostburg improves to 1-7, while MU is now 0-1. FSU will next compete at the North Central College Open on Sunday, December 10. For more information visit frostburgsports.comÂ
