INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Frostburg State Women's Soccer team earned the fifth spot in the second edition of the NCAA Regional poll, released on Wednesday.
One year after becoming the first FSU program to be selected for a Division II National Tournament, the Bobcats currently sport a 14-1-2 record, having secured their fourth-straight MEC Division Title. Two other Mountain East programs saw their names appear on the rankings, with Charleston (WV) taking the top spot and Concord coming in at eighth.
This is the second regional ranking of the season, but the first ranking in which the committee ranked teams after the initial ranking a week ago was just teams under consideration for a ranking, listed in alphabetical order. The committee will release a third and final regional ranking list next Wednesday afternoon ahead of the Selection Show on Monday, November 13. The top seven ranked teams from the region will advance to the NCAA Tournament.
