SALISBURY, N.C. – The Frostburg State Women's Swimming team took their longest trip of the season to Catawba in a 192.5-61.5 loss on Friday afternoon.

Sophomore Kendall Hooper had the top individual finishes on the day, coming second in both the 100-yard butterfly (1:02.88) and the 200 fly (2:21.91).

Fellow sophomore Lydia Nebiolo earned a pair of top-three finishes in the 500-yard freestyle (5:31.57) and the 1,000 free (11:29.69). Joining her in third place times were freshman Gabriela Betancourt in the 200-yard free (2:10.51), sophomore Natasha Paciello (1:16.13) in the 100-yard breaststroke, and sophomore Tiernan Taggart in the 200 breaststroke (2:51.37).

With the loss, FSU falls to 2-4 on the year, while Catawba improves to 6-1. The Bobcats return to the pool on Saturday, January 14 for a home tri-meet against MEC foes Wheeling and West Virginia Wesleyan at 1 p.m. Information and updates will be posted at frostburgsports.com.
