BRIDGEPORT, W. Va. - Redshirt junior center Jason Murphy was announced as the MEC Men's Basketball Player of the Week, presented by The Health Plan, as announced by the league office, becoming the first FSU player to earn the honor this season. 

Murphy secured his fourth double-double of the season by pouring in 20 points and grabbing 11 rebounds in a close two-point victory over District of Columbia. He also blocked three shots and tied a career-high with three assists in the win.
