BRIDGEPORT, W. Va. - Sophomore safety Wylan Harich has been named the Mountain East Conference's Co-Defensive Player of the Week, presented by The Health Plan, for the first week of the season, as announced by the league office.
Harich had a fantastic week one against American International, as he had two important interceptions in the game and tied for the team-high in tackles with six. His first interception came with FSU up 7-0 in the first quarter, as he caught a deflected pass at the one yardline with the Yellow Jackets looking to score. On the second pick, Harich jumped a route at the five yardline with Frostburg up 21-7 and returned the ball 53 yards to effectively seal the game in the fourth quarter.
