BRIDGEPORT, W. Va. - Attacker Lilly Stephens and goalkeeper NIcole Gray swept the weekly women's lacrosse honors as announced by the conference office, with Stephens earning offensive player of the week and Gray named defensive player of the week.
Stephens started the week with five goals in a 19-6 win over Davis & Elkins, while also winning a draw control and picking up a groundball. She followed up with another five-goal performance against Notre Dame (Ohio) in a key 13-12 victory that tied the teams in first place for the conference. She added a pair of groundballs and a caused turnover in the win.
Gray played 90 minutes between the two games, picking up a pair of wins in her freshman season. She made 18 saves across both games, while also causing three turnovers and picking up eight groundballs in net.
