WACO, Tx. - Junior offensive lineman Gottlieb Ayedze was named an American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) First Team All-American on Monday afternoon.
The Bobcat left tackle played in and started all 11 games for FSU, as the team went 8-3 and finished third in the MEC. Ayedze helped pave the way for the league's second-best rushing attack (2,104 yards) and was rewarded with a First Team All-MEC selection and also earned a spot on the D2CCA Second Team All-Region this season.
He is the program's second-straight First Team All-American, as last season defensive end Carl Igweh also received the honor, while being the 15th overall AFCA All-American in program history.
