Men's Swimming Sweeps at Salem Tri-Meet

SALEM, W. Va.- The Frostburg State Men's Swimming team defeated both Salem and Alderson Broaddus in their tri-meet on Saturday afternoon. They bested the Tigers by a score of 132-112 and the Battlers by 186-17.
 
The men started out the meet strongly with a win in the 400-yard medley relay, as freshman Steven Wilfing joined sophomores PJ Emrich, Andrew Creelman, and Jackson Miller for the victory. Wilfing and Miller would then pair with junior Quincy Page and sophomore Noah Loper to sweep the relays with a win in the 400-yard freestyle relay.
 
Loper led FSU with wins in the 50 and 200-yard freestyle, while also adding a second-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle behind freshman Nate Canapp, who also won the 1000-yard freestyle.  
 
FSU improves to 6-1 overall and will return to the pool on Saturday, January 29 at 1 p.m. in their final home meet of the season. For information and updates stay tuned at frostburgsports.com.
