Bobcats Fall to Third-Ranked Warriors

FROSTBURG, Md.- The Frostburg State field hockey team took on No. 3-ranked opponent East Stroudsburg, falling 3-0 despite a positive performance.

The Warriors came out hot with a quick goal one minute in from Jady van Gils. The Warriors would double their lead on a second goal from Lia Parker in the sixth minute of the first quarter for a 2-0 ESU lead.

From there it was a strong defensive performance, where Frostburg faced many shots but held out strong. Later, in the third quarter, the last goal of the game came from Nicole Krozser.

Frostburg would have a pair of shots in the game, with junior Rachel Rallo coming closest on a shot that hit the post and bounced out of play.

Junior goalkeeper Madison Manalansan saw 29 shots, making nine saves in one of her best performances of the season. Also on defense, freshman Ava Waddell made a fine double-defensive save on back-to-back shots.
