BRIDGEPORT, W. Va.- Senior running Malcolm has been named the MEC Football Offensive Player of the Week and senior goalkeeper Joel Assal was named MEC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week by the Mountain East Conference.
 
Facey ran for 98 yards and a pair of scores in FSU's 34-21 victory over West Virginia State on Saturday. Each of his touchdowns gave the Bobcats a three-possession lead when they were scored in the second half. He averaged 8.2 yards per carry and added a nine-yard reception to his day, finishing with 107 all-purpose yards.
 
Assal kept two clean sheets in the week, starting with a road game at Seton Hill which finished 0-0 after double overtime. He saved all four shots on goal from the Griffins, then made two crucial saves in FSU's 1-0 victory over West Liberty at home. Assal has played every minute of every game for Frostburg so far this season and has not allowed a goal in the three matches played.
