FROSTUBRG, Md. – The Frostburg State women's lacrosse team defeated the Davis & Elkins Senators Tuesday evening by a final score of 19-9 to book their ticket to the Mountain East Conference Final. The Bobcats were led by first-year Anna Kearney with six goals and one assist in the win.

Frostburg moves their record to 10-4 on the season while the Senators drop to 5-6.

Senior Stephanie King scored the first goal of the game two minutes in on a free position attempt to give FSU a 1-0 lead. The Senators tied the game before senior Summer Cavey scored another free position goal to give Frostburg a 2-1 lead. The Bobcats scored back-to-back man-down goals with junior Shelby Brunett scoring off an assist from Cavey before sophomore Lilly Stephens netted an unassisted goal to take a 4-1 lead at the 18:23 mark in the first half.

Two minutes later, first-year Erin Bryce scored her first goal of the game giving Frostburg a 5-1 lead. Twenty seconds later, Stephens scored her second of the day to take a 6-1 lead. Kearney got on the board with a free position goal to give FSU a 7-1 lead. Davis & Elkins scored the next five goals to found themselves down by one at 7-6. Kearney netted a goal with two minutes remaining in the half of an assist from sophomore Cammie Schniedwind to give Frostburg a two-goal lead at 8-6 going into halftime.

The visitors scored the first goal of the second half 50 seconds in to cut the FSU lead to back to one at 8-7. This woke the Bobcats up as they went on to score the next eight goals taking a 16-7 lead. Kearney scored back-to-back goals with back-to-back assists from King before King scored a goal of her own to make it 11-7. Kearney scored again off an assist from Kohlmann before Stephens scored a free position goal making it 13-7. At the 19:41 mark, Kearney scored a man-up goal off an assist from Cavey before Kohlmann netted a goal off an assist from King. With 16:32 left in the game, Schniedwind connected with King to put FSU up 16-7.

After a goal from the visitors, Stephens netted another goal off an assist from Kearney to take a 17-8 lead. At the 5:29 mark, the Senators scored before Cavey netted a man-up goal to make it 18-9. Cavey scored the final goal of the game on a man-up free position attempt to seal the 19-9 win.

First-year Mckenna Shay got the win in cage and registered five saves in the contest, while junior Mackenzie Cramer earned nine draw controls with one ground ball.
