FAIRMONT, W. Va. – The Frostburg State women's swim team defeat Fairmont State by one point. The Bobcats men's swimming team fell short Saturday afternoon.

The FSU women earned a victory with a score of 122-121 while the men's score ended 137-117 in the favor of Fairmont. The FSU women had six overall first place finishes and the men had seven.

Junior Aubree Morris was able to get the Bobcats a first place finish in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2:09.7. She later picked up another first place finish as part of the 400 yard freestyle relay. She along with first-years Francesca Crevoiserat, Liz Perry and Summer Mastandrea won the event (3:56.56).

Another first-year student for FSU, Cali Kobasiar placed first in the 100 yard backstroke coming in at a time of 1:14.24. Liz Perry was able to pick up a second first place finish in the 50 yard freestyle (27.16). Sophomore Rayna Cicen won the 200 yard backstroke (2:30.94). Summer Mastandrea also took first for FSU in the 500 yard freestyle at a mark of 5:46.49.

On the men's side senior Anthony Giuseppetti and first-year Andrew Creelman both took home two individual first place finished and one relay. Giuseppetti won the 100 yard backstroke (58.81), 500 yard freestyle (5:14.44) and as part of the 400 yard freestyle relay team (3:20.02). Creelman also a part of that relay team took first in 200 yard butterfly (2:00.91) and in the 100 yard butterfly (53.41). The other members of the 400 yard freestyle relay team were first-years Jackson miller and Noah Loper. Noah Loper also finished at the top of the 200 yard IM at 2:02.44. Quincy Page finished first in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 53.72.

Both the men's and women's team will be back in action on February 28
th at 1:00 PM when they travel to take on MEC opponent Notre Dame.
