WACO, Tx. - Senior defensive end Carl Igweh capped a fantastic defensive season by being named a First Team All-American by the American Football Coaches Association.

He led the country in sacks with 17 and tied for third in the country in tackles for loss with 23, while forcing two fumbles and contributing on special teams with three blocked kicks. Igweh also earned first team All-Region, MEC Defensive Player of the Year, and first team All-MEC.

He is the first Frostburg football player named All-American since Riley Hartman in 2018.
