Â
From that point, the Bobcats held the Senators scoreless and chipped away at the lead, getting back to within 37-33 on a tip-in shot from junior Bo Schene as the shot clock expired going into halftime.
Â
To start the second half, D+E jumped out to another double-digit lead at 45-35. The Senators would keep hold of their lead, going up 55-45 at the 11-minute mark. Frostburg would fight back, getting back to within two at 55-53 on a pair of free throws from freshman Justin Roseme.
Â
The Senators again would make a short run, as they led 68-58 with five minutes left. The Bobcats responded with their own burst, getting back to within 76-73 on a jumper from junior Agyei Edwards, but the offense couldn't muster enough buckets in the final minutes as Davis & Elkins was able to come out 82-75 winners.
Â
Bartley led the Bobcats in scoring with 21 points to go along with five rebounds. Junior Torrin Stephens had a solid day defensively, leading FSU with six rebounds and two blocks.
